Honor King: End Racism – Historic Civil Rights Protest Poster

“HONOR KING: END RACISM!” This historic message appeared on protest placards carried by mourners at the funeral of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. This print reproduces an actual placard from that moment in Civil Rights history, preserving the original typography, texture, and character of the sign itself.

The original placard is part of the collection of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. Unlike the original typography designs in my Protest Poster collection, this piece is a reproduction of an authentic Civil Rights era protest placard.
