Cappiello, Amandines & the Belle Époque. Created in 1900 for H. Lalo’s Amandines de Provence almond biscuits, this early Cappiello work captures the colorful spirit of French poster art at the dawn of the 20th century. Its fashionable figure, vivid color and playful sophistication reflect the Belle Époque era and the emerging visual language that helped make vintage French advertising posters so distinctive.
As a graphic designer and lover of vintage art, I’ve personally color-corrected and restored this historic design for reproduction while preserving some of the original character and imperfections that give vintage advertising art its charm.
