I’ve carefully restored the historic design and reproduced it on gallery-wrapped stretched canvas, creating ready-to-hang wall art with bold color and classic vintage aviation style.

When New York Took to the Skies. Created through the Works Progress Administration Federal Art Project in 1936 or 1937, the original “City of New York Municipal Airports” poster promoted Floyd Bennett Field, North Beach and the East River seaplane bases at Wall Street and 31st Street. Its streamlined aircraft and bold graphic design capture the optimism surrounding aviation in New York during the 1930s.

These posters have long appealed to me as a graphic designer and lover of vintage art. I personally color-correct and restore each design for reproduction while preserving some of the small imperfections and signs of age that give the original artwork its character.
