See Montana through the bold graphic style of the 1930s. This historic “See America” travel poster features a cluster of tipis set against a dramatic mountain landscape, rendered in strong shapes and vivid color that still feel remarkably modern today.

I’ve carefully restored the historic design and reproduced it on gallery-wrapped stretched canvas, creating ready-to-hang wall art with the character of vintage American travel posters.

See America: Art With a History. Created by artist Richard Halls for the U.S. Travel Bureau through the WPA Federal Art Project, this “See America. Welcome to Montana” poster dates to the late 1930s. Designed to promote tourism in Montana, it reflects the simplified forms, bold typography and striking color that became hallmarks of WPA-era poster design.

These posters have long appealed to me as a graphic designer and lover of vintage art. I personally color-correct and restore each design for reproduction while preserving some of the small imperfections and signs of age that give the original artwork its character.

This is a reproduction of the historic poster design, not an original vintage print.
